Refund & Cancellation Policy
How refunds and cancellations work for Dostum SMS.
1. While Dostum SMS is in beta
The app is free to use during the beta. There is nothing to refund and nothing to cancel — there are no paid subscriptions or one-time purchases at this stage.
If you joined as a beta tester and want to stop using the app, simply uninstall it. You can also follow our data deletion guide to remove any local app data and request deletion of any support records.
2. When paid plans launch
Once paid plans are available, this page will be updated to describe:
- How to cancel a subscription and when the cancellation takes effect.
- Whether (and when) we offer refunds for partial billing periods, and any conditions that apply.
- The refund timeline once a refund is approved.
- Mandatory consumer-protection rights under EU and Spanish law (we are based in Spain).
- How to contact billing support and what information to include.
3. Subscriptions purchased through Google Play
If, in the future, paid plans are offered as in-app subscriptions through Google Play, those purchases are governed by Google Play's own refund and subscription rules in addition to ours. You can manage and cancel Google Play subscriptions at any time from the Play Store on your device.
4. Beta feedback and credit
Beta testers who report bugs or share substantive feedback will, where possible, be offered launch credit or extended access to a paid tier when paid plans go live. We'll communicate the details directly to those testers — there is no need to ask now.
